What is a Giclée?

Giclée prints provide the highest degree of accuracy and richness of color in the reproduction of fine art. The term Giclée (prounounced zhee-clay) is a French term that means to spray or squirt. Archival pigment-based inks are sprayed on 100% cotton, acid-free paper using a high-resolution digital image of the original painting.

My Giclées are printed on Somerset Photo Enhanced archival quality paper. This paper maintains the luxurious feel of fine art paper, while providing an exceptional reproduction quality. Somerset Fine Art paper is mouldmade in England by St. Cuthbert’s Mill-Inveresk PLC. It is 100% cotton, neutral pH, ligning free, has exceptional image permanence, and outstanding D-Max for prints with high levels of contrast. Epson's UltraChrome Inks also provide excellent archival quality and lightfastness.
